2024 Rock and Rise Climbing Festival

2024 Rock and Rise Climbing Festival

Time & Location

Jul 05, 2024, 5:00 p.m. – Jul 07, 2024, 4:00 p.m.

Squamish, BC, Canada

Entry to the festival

Each participant is required to purchase a festival ticket to attend the festival.

It is our priority to keep the Rock and Rise festival accessible. One way we try to do this is through our scholarship program where select folks with multiple barriers to participation will be able to attend the festival and participate in a clinic for free.

Thanks to the help of our sponsors and community supporters, the registration cost for the festival is $145. If you would like to support other climbers' participation in the festival and are in a position to pay more, we have two additional ticket tiers (your own ticket is included) where you can contribute slightly more depending on what is comfortable and realistic for you. Purchasing a ‘Pay it Forward’ ticket ($175) or a ‘Super Human’ ticket ($205) will directly contribute to offsetting the costs for other participants.

A festival ticket includes:

  • Entry to the festival (Friday evening until Sunday afternoon)
  • Camping at the festival grounds
  • Complimentary coffee and light breakfast
  • Community dinner on Saturday (vegan Buddha Bowls provided by Fierce Fuel)
  • Access to skills clinics (at an additional cost)
  • Morning yoga and group warm-up both mornings
  • Opening presentations on Friday evening including an interactive presentation on intention setting with a Tiffany Melius
  • Gear demos by sponsoring brands and local partners
  • Local Artists Market (saturday evening)
  • Panel discussion with some exciting guests on diversity and inclusion in climbing and outdoor rec spaces (saturday evening)
  • Evening music on Saturday with local djs
  • One free ticket into the raffle for a chance to win some prizes!
  • Opportunity to connect with people, make new friendships and meet climbing partners and mentors
  • Be a part of a movement to empower the lesser-heard voices in the climbing community and help redefine the stereotype of what a climber should look like

Clinic tickets

More details on each individual clinic and it's prerequisites and gear requirements can be found here

All clinics require participants to have:

  • Harness
  • Shoes
  • Climbing helmet
  • Belay device.

We have these available for those who require rental gear, please let us know in advance (in the registration form).  Please bring remaining gear detailed under each clinic if you already have it. Learning on your own equipment can help to build familiarity and answer any questions specific to your circumstances. If you do not already own this gear, many find it helpful to wait until after the clinic to purchase it as you have a better idea of what you need, which isn’t necessarily everything listed. Email programming@rock-and-rise.com with any questions.
