In collaboration with SNS

We are excited to partner with Squamish Newcomer Services to offer six scholarship spots to the 2026 Rock and Rise weekend festival. This scholarship is open to immigrants, newcomers, and community members connected with SNS who are interested in building connection, confidence, and access to the outdoors through climbing and community.

Included in the SNS scholarship program:

• General admission ticket

• Bouldering clinic (half day) on Saturday

• Rope climbing clinic on Sunday

Squamish Newcomer Services supports immigrants and newcomers in Squamish by helping them settle, connect, and thrive in their new community through free programs, resources, and welcoming spaces focused on inclusion, skill-building, and community engagement.

The scholarship program is also supported through the broader community work of the Squamish Welcome Centre, a volunteer-driven community hub that creates opportunities for learning, cultural exchange, and connection for people from all backgrounds.
